Staff from the City of Peekskill Planning Department will be available to discuss the city’s new comprehensive plan, share ways residents can get involved, and encourage community members to apply for the Resident Advisory Committee.
The department will also be presenting the new Waterfront Public Realm Vision Plan, which reimagines Peekskill’s waterfront and surrounding streets as a more welcoming, walkable, and culturally vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike.

The Lincoln Society in Peekskill is holding its Gala Sunday Brunch on Sunday, May 17th, from 11:30 am - 3:00 pm at Cortlandt Colonial. Construction at Brown Plaza continues to move forward, with all excavation work to be completed on May 15, 2026.
Beginning the week of May 18th - 22nd, crews will begin pouring structural concrete for the retaining wall and stairs of the new plaza, marking the next major phase of construction.
We appreciate the community’s continued patience and support as work progresses. We will continue to share updates throughout the project.

A free compost giveaway from Sustainable Materials Management will be available starting on May 15th in the area outside the Parks Maintenance Garage on Pomeroy Drive in Depew Park. The compost is for personal residential use only, and individuals must bring their own container and shovel.
