#DYK you can bring your old American flags to our facility for proper disposal?
🇺🇸 With Memorial Day and the 4th of July coming up, now is a great time to inspect your American flag. If Old Glory is faded, tattered, or torn, it’s time to retire it properly.
🇺🇸 The American Legion Post 109 has a flag disposal container located at 175 North Lakeshore Drive (site of the old City Hall). Simply drop your flag off and it will be disposed of with dignity and respect.
🇺🇸 The U.S. Flag Code states:
“The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way.”
Thank you for helping honor our nation’s flag!

Reclaimed Water Outage — UPDATE 5/12/26
The reclaimed water main break on Monday, May 11—caused by an accidental strike by a contractor at the intersection of Ocoee Apopka Road and Chablis Way—has been successfully isolated.
☑Reclaimed water service has been restored throughout the North Reclaimed Service Area, except for the Vineyards subdivision.
☑Additional planning and coordination are required before repairs can be completed on the line serving the Vineyards subdivision.
☑The city’s contractor is scheduled to perform this work on Thursday, May 14. Until then, residents in the Vineyards subdivision will continue to experience an interruption in reclaimed water service.
We appreciate your patience as we work to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
Reclaimed Water Outage Alert 🚨
Earlier today, May 11, a contractor accidentally struck a reclaimed water line (irrigation water not drinking water) at the intersection of Ocoee Apopka Road and Chablis Way.
A reclaimed watermain outage West of the 429 and North of Clarcona Ocoee Road (excluding Forest Trails) is anticipated to be in effect for the next 48 to 72 hours to allow for the repair.
We appreciate your patience as we work to restore service as soon as possible and we will provide updates as they become available.
