Today is TDOV- Trans Day of Visibility. Trans people have always been here, and always will be. There are no more or less now than ever before. As it becomes safer to be seen in the world, so it also becomes more dangerous. As there are more services and safe places, there are more bans and dangers. But love will win.
I was very pleased to be present for the raising of the trans flag over city hall in Bridgeport and subsequent celebration. The event was a collab between Our Trans Life, City of Bridgeport, and Mental Health CT. The mayor and the state treasurer spoke. Having government representation is so important, especially now when everything is so terrifying at the national level. What a joy and honor to uplift such an important event with the Starseed Circus.
