As an artisan natural perfumer based in Seoul, it means a great deal to have these two perfumes, released last year, recognized alongside such remarkable fragrances. We are deeply grateful for the love and support you have shown for these scents, in which we sought to express a sense of empathy and calm through the language of nature. The Golden Pineapple Fragrance Awards will take place as part of a festival on May 31 in Orange County, California, bringing together a wide spectrum of fragrances from artisan indie. 💛💛💛 3월 8일, 오늘은 여성의 날입니다. 여성의 날에는 서로에게 미모사를 건네며 존중과 연대의 마음을 전하는 전통이 있습니다. 작은 향수 메이커로서 저희는 매년 이 날을 특별하고 의미 있게 여깁니다. 겉모습의 크기나 화려함과 상관없이, 부드러운 방식으로 존재를 전하는 미모사는 존중과 연대라는 가치와 잘 어울립니다. 미모사는 동그란 작은 꽃과 여린 잎이 어우러진 솜털 같은 다발을 이루고 있습니다. 화려하기 보다는 수수하고 담백한 모습을 가지고 있지요. 하지만 선명한 노란색과 특유의 달콤한 향기로 어느 꽃보다도 앞서서 봄을 환대합니다. 파우더리하면서도 워터리한 향기가 정갈하고 투명하게 사방으로 퍼져 나갑니다. 부드러움으로도 강한 빛을 비추는 미모사의 향기가 혼란의 먹구름을 걷어내고, 겨울의 찬 공기를 밀어내는 생명력 넘치는 봄바람을 이끌어 주기를 바랍니다. March 8 is International Women’s Day. On this day, there is a tradition of exchanging mimosa flowers as a gesture of respect and solidarity. As a small perfume house, we have always regarded this day as especially meaningful. Mimosa, which expresses its presence in a gentle way regardless of size or flamboyance, feels closely aligned with the values of respect and solidarity. Its small round blossoms and delicate leaves form soft, downy clusters. Though modest in appearance, its bright yellow color and sweet scent welcome spring earlier than almost any other flower. Powdery yet watery, its fragrance spreads with a clean and transparent softness. - 올디스트 필라는 영주 부석사의 배흘림 기둥을 생각하며 조향한 퍼퓸 오일입니다. 부석사는 소백산맥과 태백산맥을 앞마당으로 삼은 매우 아름다운 사찰이지요. 최순우 선생님의 유명한 책 제목처럼, 그 기둥에 기대면 두 산맥의 웅장하면서도 경건한 기운이 한 눈에 들어옵니다. 어릴 적 부석사를 오르는 길가는 온통 사과밭이 있었습니다. 그래서 제게 가을 부석사의 향기는 사과의 새콤달콤한 과일향과 사찰에서 태우는 선향의 연기가 오묘하게 어울리던 기억으로 남아있습니다. 무량수전은 한국에서 가장 오래된 목조 건물로, 700년에 달하는 세월 동안 수많은 사람들의 염원과 기도가 닿은 공간입니다. 경건한 마음으로 기도를 드린 사람들이 돌아가는 길에 기둥을 붙잡고 신발을 고쳐신었을겁니다. 기둥은 그 모두의 간절함을 들었을테고, 아마도 기억하고 있을지도 모릅니다. 올디스트 필라는 그 기억과 감정을 향으로 옮겼습니다. 사과 대신 금목서의 향기로 바람에 실려오는 과일 향기를, 그리고 부드러운 바닐라와 샌달우드로 오래되어 매끈하게 윤이 나는 나무 기둥과 목조 건물의 감촉을, 프랑킨센스로 사찰에 피어오르는 선향을 표현하려고 했습니다. 찬 바람이 부는 계절, 올디스트 필라의 부드럽고 깊은 향이 여러분의 마음을 조용히 감싸길 바랍니다. 오일 타입으로 부향률이 높아 향이 부드럽게 오래 이어집니다. 스산한 바람 속에서 마음이 조금 메마른 기분이시라면, 누구나 가진 소원을 빌었던 작은 염원을 떠올리며 올디스트 필라와 함께 호흡하시길 바랍니다.
