Circa will be moving back to Exeter, where Rob first started our journey. Circa’s last service in Totnes will be 4 July.
We’re really excited for this next chapter and will share more news soon.
We’ve had an amazing couple of years in Totnes and want to thank everyone who’s supported us along the way — especially all of our regulars, friends and neighbours who’ve made the place what it is.
We’ll be running as normal until 4 July, with a few special things planned before then, so we’d love to see as many of you as possible over the next couple of months.
Our GM Jon will also be staying on at the Totnes site to launch an exciting new project. More details on that soon.
Thanks again from all of us at Circa ❤️

Seven days of Scallops. #OurCircle - we spent the day with Jamie from @greenstraight_scallops - Jamie is unique in that he freedives all our scallops on a breath hold instead of using scuba tanks. He uses specially modified baskets to keep the scallops in the water for as long as possible along with native seaweed. This all keeps them fresh, from Start Point Devon to @circa.devon - come in this week to taste.

Counter culture 🍷
Just a few snippets from a serendipitous drop-in to @circa.devon this Saturday. I loved the Spanish and Cretan natural wines (so good I did my own mini wine tasting 😉), the springy French beans for scooping up the soft Ticklemore cheese and that fried chicken with a peppery puree topping.
It was busy and we hadn’t booked but there was still room to perch at the counter by the window entrance - with Totnes street life to watch and close enough to the bar to see what the other customers were having (River Dart oysters).
It inspired me to write up some other local wine bars that serve tasty small plates, and natural and skin contact wines at counters - in the LINK IN BIO.
I’d love to know if you have any favourites…
