I finally got around to matting and framing my photo "Spot Number 2". As someone who hasn't seriously made prints or matted their work in nearly 20 years, it's been really inspiring to see it as a fully completed piece. There's something that just makes it feel "real," now. It's not living on my hard drive, or on an Instagram post that's quickly scrolled by and "liked" for a brief moment before going on to the next thing. I can sit with it. It exists in physical space, and that's truly magic.
Shot a roll of expired 35mm Provia 100F on a photo walk and a hike last week. The stock expired in 2012, and I'm pretty pleased with how it came out despite its age! Even the shots I tested at box speed came out better than expected, so I must've done a pretty decent job of storing it throughout the years.
