It is spring! And I have a new release for you. I hope it can bring you relaxation, peace of mind and a moment to reminisce.
I wish to share a new piano piece with you. "Waltzing Nostalgia" is another poetic improvisational composition. It is a part of the "Piano Poetry" album I'll be releasing later down the year. Like Everything that's in between, I challenged myself to write it like a diary: pour and connect to the deepest core in just a few minutes, staying 100% alert and in the state of flow.

Tim Johnson (@cinematicmixing ) is a British mix engineer specialising in cinematic music for film, television, and games. Working under Cinematic Mixing, he collaborates with composers to craft expansive, emotionally charged mixes spanning orchestral, rock, ambient, and hybrid sound design.
His work has featured across BBC, Netflix, Amazon, and PBS, with credits including Animals at Play, The Elephant & The Termite, Once Upon a Time in Tsavo, and the OST for Badjelly. He’s mixed award-winning projects including Break the Stars, Frontier, and Hearthfall: Rats in the Tower, alongside commercial campaigns and indie films.
Tim also serves as Head of Postgraduate Education at ThinkSpace Education, helping shape the next generation of composers.
