And so we're esctatic to announce that 'Call Of My Life' takes the cake from them all, signaling that in a genre Nollywood learnt from Hollywood, Nollywood has finally beaten Hollywood at it 🏆 NOTE TO NOLLYWOOD: You may be winning in the "Rom" & the "Com" but you keep failing woefully in the "Subs." It's honestly disgraceful that in 2026, you still can't get subtitles right. Hence you keep repeating easily avoidable errors such as incessant mis-spellings, starting sentences with small letters, omitting full-stops & leaving out commas. MILDLY RECOMMENDED — This mix of drama & mystery is sophisticated, extremely well acted & heralded by some of the highest production values out of Nollywood, except for one shadow that cost them a full recommendation (see addendum). Meanwhile; speaking particularly about acting, we can't but give a special mention to Sophie Alakija. She has really matured as an actor, found her stride & seems no longer content relying on her mixed race as her pillar of success. And that's a Good Thing! Because in 'Strong'; she gives her strongest performance yet. BRAVO 👏 Addendum: In the scene immediately following Sophie's MIL visiting her in the hospital. When she returns home & confronts her husband, the shadow of a boom mic can be seen reflecting in the polished mahogany behind her.
