PIKE RIVER is based on the tragic events of 2010’s Pike River (New Zealand) mine collapse. It follows Melanie Lynskey and Robyn Malcolm as two real-life women—Anna Osborne and Sonya Rockhouse—who lost family and took on the mining company and ultimately the NZ government all the way to the High Court for justice for their loved ones.
