Mamoru Oshii’s landmark animated film needs little introduction. A cyberpunk masterpiece that asked big questions about identity, consciousness and what it means to be human - its influence on science fiction and action cinema has been enormous. From The Matrix to Blade Runner 2049, the fingerprints of Ghost in the Shell are everywhere.
A 2017 Hollywood remake with Scarlett Johansson exists. We’ll leave it at that. Come watch the original.
