In 2016, with the help of our Seattle friend Hamidu Mansaray, @SchoolsforSalone was able to rebuild the primary school in Kamabegbeh, our most remote school, only accessible during dry season on the most terrible roads ever. Think past Bafodea, 13,000 steps on your phone without leaving your vehicle. Truly a last mile community. We were able to visit this school in 2022. #lastmile #SierraLeone #Koinadugu #primaryschool

This village was brought to our attention as it was devastated by Ebola, with 37 people dying, out of a village of less than 500.
