Last night, NCBAE was proud to celebrate alongside our institutional member, Cincinnati Opera, at their electrifying COYP Bacchanal: FUTUREGLOW - and what a bold, beautiful night it was. FUTUREGLOW truly embodied Cincinnati Opera’s mission to bring opera to our city in imaginative, barrier-breaking ways. From the high-style runway show featuring Afrofuturistic and contemporary designers coordinated by NCBAE member Alishia Lee (Me by Lee), to the powerful live performances by Cincinnati Opera artists and Lalovavi librettist Tifara Brown, the evening was a celebration of culture, creativity, and community. And we have to give flowers where they are due 🌺 - shout out to NCBAE member Shabrina Cromwell, aka Glam Monèt, for serving as the makeup artist for the night. The glam was flawless. The faces were radiant. The vision was executed. This is what it looks like when institutions lean into innovation and when our creative ecosystem shows up across genres -fashion, opera, beauty, storytelling - all in one room.
