A trailblazer in modern communications, Dr. Croak pioneered Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), the literal technology powering every internet calls, RIGHT NOW, she holds over 200 patents, and created critical applications like text-to-donate. Today, she leads teams at Google Research at the intersection of deep technology and societal impact, ensuring innovation is built on human-centric foundations to drive equitable, globally accessible AI.
Produced in partnership with Google and directed by Trivell Miller, this film was two years in the making. It explores how curiosity, collaboration, and vision can shape the future — and leave a legacy that inspires the next generation to believe that the way things are does not have to be the way things will be.
