So this happened at the weekend - Pick of the Week in the Sunday Times Culture section!
Super chuffed but it would not have happened without the hard work of everyone involved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏
Watch De Valera San Fhásach (De Valera the Wilderness Years) tomorrow on TG4 at 9.30pm
Super excited to have the World Premiere of Croíthe Radacacha/Radical Hearts at the Galway Film Fleadh this Saturday!
A film on 'the love that dares not speak its name' found at the heart of the Irish Revolution.
Nobody ever makes a film on their own and the gorgeous work of so many people helped make this film what it is. And I'm so chuffed to have many of them there in Galway for this screening - that means the world to me xx
P. S I've tagged as many of you as I could find - if I've left anybody out I'm sorry but believe me that I'm so grateful to you all from the bottom of my heart xxx
Forgotten: The Widows of the Irish Revolution airs tonight on RTÉ One at 10:15pm!
So proud to have produced and directed this but it wouldn't have turned out half as beautiful without all the lovely talented and creative people involved especially DOP Rupert MacCarthy-Morrogh, Editor and Colourist Brendan Bourke Composer Darren Sheehan, Art Director Hannah Lane, Sound Gary Keane, Gaffer Gearoid O'Sullivan, Grip Mike Cafferkey, Hair and Make up Giada Orlandi, Wardrobe Cáitín Howard and Evin Dennehy, post production Dónal O' Driscoll as well as a small army of other people!
As well as starring the incomparable Lindsey Earner Byrne, it has stellar contributions from Tomás Mac Conmara Sarah-Anne Buckley John Borgonovo and Helene O' Keeffe among others. Thank you all so much!
Thanks also to my super cast Claire Loy, Karen Johnson, Irene Kelleher, Trish Burke, Michael Browne, Michael Sands, Cora Fenton, Allison O'Flynn, Michael Ryan for giving me your time and your talent.
And finally hats off to the powerhouses that kept it all running behind the scenes Jeanie Hal (who also lent me all her kids!), Ciara Buckley and Ann Dalton.
None of this would have happened without you all xx
Well tonight's the night! After months of work the first episode of Eipidéim airs this evening on TG4 at 9.45pm. (Part two is same time next week!) If you're not sick to the teeth of epidemics already, give it a watch!
I just want to say a huge thanks to everybody who collaborated or contributed to the making of Eipidéim - nobody ever makes a documentary on their own and I couldn't have done it without ye and all your beautiful work.
I seriously appreciate you all xx
Seriously chuffed to have Cogadh ar Mhná nominated for a Royal Television Society Award!
