You've met the sheepdogs, but have you walked with a truffle dog?
On Tuscan Treasures with Cinque Terre, you’ll head into the forest with a local expert and his truffle‑hunting dog to search for these prized delicacies in the wild. Like the sheepdogs, there's something magical about watching a truffle dog at work: ears forward, nose to the ground, and every step coming closer to treasure.
Glencoe was the perfect photo stop for this group of Aussies on tour! Travel agent Connie Dziwoki shared this pic of the gang, who visited Scotland and Ireland for two weeks as part of a five-week European adventure.
"This was an amazing spot for a photo," Connie wrote. "Just play Adele singing Skyfall (the James Bond movie) and you will have the atmosphere. We loved it here. A bit cold and blustery but no worries!!"
The group’s custom itinerary featured many iconic highlights, including castles, the Isle of Skye, Dingle, and the Guinness Storehouse, along with memorable experiences like Scotland's Glenfinnan Viaduct and the Robert Burns Museum, plus a walking tour of Derry and the Bogside, reflecting on Derry’s Civil Rights Era, and a falconry experience in Ireland.
Sheepdogs - our guests adore them! They tell us the sheepdog demo on their tours in Scotland and Ireland are among their very favorite experiences. Here are some guests in Scotland this week, visiting Leault Farm as farmer Neil Ross introduces them to the sheep and the sheepdogs.
Thanks to JY Tour Guide for the photos!

We know we can count on our tour directors to make magic on the road for our guests - but sometimes they surprise us with hidden talents, like making amazing music...
Our friends at The Crosskeys Inn shared this wonderful clip of Tour Director and tenor David Martin singing "Wild Mountain Thyme", accompanied by Frank Cassidy on bouzouki. It's a wonderful rendition of this classic song. Thanks to the Hurl family for capturing the moment, and to David for sharing his beautiful voice with his group, and all of us!
And it turns out David, who is a retired Sergeant in the Irish Defence Forces, is a professional singer known for his fantastic vocal range. He has performed throughout Europe and the US. You'll find him online by searching for "David Martin Tenor".
Discover two Celtic cultures in one unforgettable journey with our featured Tour of the Week: The Scots Irish Tour. From Scotland’s iconic Edinburgh and Stirling Castles to a scenic lunch on the Isle of Skye and chocolate tasting in the Highlands, every moment is rich with history, flavor, and breathtaking views—plus whisky tasting and a storytelling dinner
Then cross to Ireland, where you’ll experience the Giant’s Causeway, the Cliffs of Moher, a lively musical evening at Crosskeys Inn, a castle feast, and an overnight stay in the regal Kilronan Castle. And so much more!

Happy Earth Day! 🌍✨ Under this year's "Our Power, Our Planet" theme, we're celebrating collective action to protect fragile ecosystems like Ireland's Burren—those stark limestone pavements, rare wildflowers, and ancient stone walls bursting with unique biodiversity.
At CIE Tours, our power for change lies in thoughtful travel that gives back:
- Partnering with local communities & businesses
- Motorcoaches fueled by cleaner biodiesel
- Funding ReFarm Burren through our Sustainability Action Fund (think solar-powered GPS collars for cows creating virtual fences to graze sustainably—no damage to this delicate landscape).
Travel with Impact
These images of the Burren remind us to explore the world - and protect it too. Who's ready for responsible adventures? 💚
