In just a few short months, we’ll be celebrating 4 years of Cicospace. In that time, we’ve worked with hundreds of keynote speakers, established our flagship studio at HQ, and completed nearly 1,000 film days. It would be impossible to tag and thank everyone individually, but it’s not lost on me that we would not be the company we are today without you. To every individual speaker, friend, mentor, and partner who has helped guide us toward becoming the largest production house built specifically for keynote speakers, thank you.

I’ve been holding onto this for a while… and I’m finally getting close to sharing it. Over the past several months, I’ve been working behind the scenes on something really special. A new message. A new keynote. A new way of talking about what leaders and teams need right now. Because everywhere I go, I’m hearing the same thing from leaders: “The pressure isn’t slowing down.” “Our people are exhausted.” “We want to build strong teams, but everything feels uncertain.” So I started asking a bigger question: What does it actually take to build a team that stays strong when the pressure never stops? Well… this is pretty surreal. I’m excited to share my new keynote speaker reel!!🎤 A few years ago I never would have imagined I’d be speaking on stages around the country, sharing stories about building a business in the construction industry, surviving some really hard chapters of life, and learning that being real and imperfect is actually a leadership superpower. My keynote, The Vulnerability Advantage: How Human-Centered Leaders Build High-Trust Teams, is all about showing up as a human first and a leader second. I’m currently booking nationally do the remainder of 2026 and into 2027. If you’re planning an event and want a leadership message that’s real, honest and actionable, I’d love to connect! Here’s a little peek at what I’ve been working on!

You know, there’s something about stepping onto a stage and feeling like you’re just walking into a room full of friends. That’s exactly how it felt when I got to speak to 13,000 incredible nurses at @americannursesofficial annual conference. Biggest stage of my life? Oh, absolutely. Maybe the biggest speech of my life so far, too. But the magic was in knowing I was talking to kindred spirits, people who just give so much of themselves every single day. I prepared like crazy, but it felt like I was going to meet my people. And that made all the difference. I had my incredible team with me. Shout out to my video and photo crew @cicospace and @dematophoto who kept me grounded. On the day of, I just knew we were going to have a blast, and from the photos, you can see we did just that! And, wow, does that ANCC team know how to put on an event and make a speaker feel special! They even did my makeup. I was feeling like a rock star!😉 I got everyone up dancing right at the start, and all the nerves vanished. I told them straight up: “I’m speaking from my heart to yours.” And they felt it. One of the lines I shared with them was: “When you learn to care for yourself as much as you care for others, you become an unshakable force in a room full of chaos.” And I truly believe that. By the end of the talk, I had nurses coming up to me with tears, telling me they felt truly seen. That’s the privilege of this work, and I don’t take that for granted. In fact, I cherish it. My photographer said this in a post he wrote about his time with me, “Heather brought the heat, the humanity and then hugs followed shortly after.” I love this! At my event yesterday there were so many positive things to be grateful for, but I do have to say that I don’t usually highlight those who are in the background and are making everything possible. These are the AV crew and Videographer that were the stars of my day.❤️ As a speaker, we are often in the front shining our light bright, but that’s because the people in the background are making that possible. And so today I wanted to express gratitude to the people who make all the wheels keep turning in our world while there are those of us who get to shine up front. They deserve to be uplifted today and every day and spotlighted as well. To Diane and Colton, thank you for having my back while I got to do what I was put on the planet to do. As we close out 2024, I want to take a moment to celebrate a friendship and partnership that has truly transformed my business. In the summer of 2023, I connected with @aaron_knipp as he was building @cicospace . I’ll never forget our excitement when his new camera arrived just in time for my keynote on the conference’s third day. That moment marked the start of an incredible journey. Over the past 18 months, Aaron and I have traveled the country together, constantly pushing the boundaries of bringing our “work” to life. One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from working with Aaron is the power of having a business partner who is willing to explore bold new ideas and challenge you to think bigger.
