Some cool things about my Grandpa โฆ
He served in the Korean War, playing baseball while in the Marines. He was drafted to the Washington Senators minor league farm team. He was even invited to try out for the Major Leagues. He opted to marry my Grandma instead - they celebrated 70 years this past Christmas Day. He was a union steward. He got to meet Hank Aaron later in life. He was awarded multiple times for his service.
He survived Jim Crow, cancer, 2 strokes, an amputation, Covid, and more. He was nobodyโs fool. He was a good man and we will miss him.

2 years ago to the date, I received an audition for a film - a true story about the mostly Black, all-female battalion serving overseas in World War II several years before the armed forces were finally desegregated.
Iโm honored to portray one of the 855 women of The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. They toiled in service to a country that did not reciprocate and, until recent years, received very little recognition.
