Dawsongroup have partnered with M2M to conquer the Alps and have raised over £58,000 for charity! 🏔️
It is such a huge achievement and @dawsongroupopenhands showed us their amazing resilience and heart in making the summit.
‘Since Dawsongroup chose M2M as one of their main partner charities, our relationship has flourished year after year. It’s been a privilege to be a part of Ed and Lois’ journey, as well as the beneficiaries. It has always been important for us to see the impact of supporting a charity, as it’s very easy to donate money to tick a box however; engaging and really getting to know the bare bones of a charity allows you to see the inspiring outcomes of your partnership. I met the @millimetres2mountains group only the night before our ascent on Gran Paradiso last month.
@chxchallenge shared a detailed plan for climbing, and I was co-ordinating filming / photography strategies with @georgemaguire .
Usually I would film or photograph climbers with experience in mountaineering but not only was high altitude a first experience for most of the people in the group, from the beginning of the climb it was a slog, there were tears and even questions of some quitting within the first hour.
But the beneficiaries on @millimetres2mountains are cut from a different cloth.
Regardless of disability or disadvantages, the whole group summited Gran Paradiso and made it back to the hut in 9 hours with plenty of smiles and good attitude.
This was not easy and everyone did fantastic

Also, shout out to Ed who just climbed the Matterhorn with a spinal cord injury. Proving yet again @millimetres2mountains people are just different.
