Lighthouse at South Haven, Michigan.
The South Haven Lighthouse, also known as the South Pierhead Light, is a historic, operational lighthouse at the mouth of the Black River on Lake Michigan, famous for its red tower, catwalk, and scenic pier walk. Built in 1903, it replaced an earlier wooden structure and is now owned by the Historical Association of South Haven, which maintains it as a landmark, though the tower itself is generally closed to the public except for special events.

Lighthouse at Grand Haven, Michigan.
Located on the south pier of the Grand River channel in Grand Haven, MI. Consists of two red-painted, steel-plated, cylindrical lights connected by a 290-foot catwalk.
The first light was built in 1839; current structures date back to 1905, with the pier being capped in concrete around 1925.
Known for dramatic winter freezing, where waves encase the structure in thick ice.
Maintained by the Grand Haven Lighthouse Conservancy, which works to restore the towers and create an interpretative center.

Swipe ⬅️… Wind Point Lighthouse was designed by Orlando Metcalfe Poe, a former Brigadier General in the Civil War. The lighthouse was constructed in 1880. It was lit for the first time on November 15, 1880. A signal house (horns removed, resonators still in place) remains on the grounds as well. In the summer of 2007, the lighthouse tower underwent a $210,000 restoration, during which windows and doors were replaced, brickwork repointed, and the tower repainted.
The shipwreck site of the Kate Kelly is located 2 miles east of the lighthouse.
