Congrats to @jamestalarico on a hard-fought victory in the Texas Senate primary.
He ran a relentless and innovative campaign that spoke to the needs of Texans. His victory is a great step towards helping Democrats win back the Senate.
Today on Sh*t That Ain’t True.
Trump and Republicans’ “Born Alive Bill” isn’t about protecting anyone — it’s about taking away the freedom of patients to make their most personal and difficult medical decisions with their doctor.
The reality is this bill would strip away the dignity of mothers and infants during their most heart-wrenching final moments together.
No wonder numerous groups representing doctors and healthcare providers (like the American Medical Association) are opposed to this bill.
Vice President Kamala Harris’s historic candidacy inspired millions and her vision for a better future for all Americans will endure. Her advocacy on many issues — from lower costs, more affordable housing, and a fairer tax system— will continue to have strong impacts on America and on our party.
As we await the final tallies in elections across the country, Senate Democrats remain committed to our values and to working with our Republican colleagues to deliver for the American people.
As I’ve said time and again, in both the majority and the minority, the only way to get things done in the Senate is through bipartisan legislation while maintaining our principles — and the next two years will be no different.
Vote to defend abortion rights.
Vote to protect affordable health care.
Vote to save our democracy.
Vote for Kamala Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot.
@ChuckSchumer weighs in on the potential threat of Supreme Court interference in this year’s election and his concerns about Trump’s need to win by any means! Listen in as @nativelandpod x @breakfastclubam takeover the #2024DNC🔊
We’re here to talk about one thing: tomorrow. About building a better tomorrow for all Americans. This November, we can choose a brighter, fairer, freer future, or relive the dark night of Trump’s American carnage. Only one candidate will move us forward, and that is @kamalaharris .
Like many Jewish Americans, I never thought antisemitism would become a daily reality in America. Now, for the first time, we’re worried that it could. Synagogues are targeted by extremists, Jewish students are attacked on campus, conspiracy theories about Jews have gone mainstream on social media, and debates over Israel have veered into dangerous territory.
If America fails to understand the context and history of antisemitism, I fear an age-old truth will prove true once again: that antisemitism inevitably leads to violence against Jews and a rise in bigotry in our society at large. As the Irish writer Conor Cruise O’Brien once said, “antisemitism is a light sleeper.”
Coming out early next year, my book will be a warning, informed by the lessons of history and my own experience, about what can happen when the world’s oldest hatred is allowed to rise unchecked.
Great choice, @kamalaharris . Let’s get to work! There’s no doubt the Harris/Walz ticket will lead us to victory in November and build a future Americans can be proud of.
