Let me expand that slightly - life is what happens when we’re not paying attention to the gap between what happens to us and how we respond.
Between I will and I won’t.
Between I can’t and I can.
Between fear and faith.
It’s easy to think that life is shaped by big milestone events, But I’m beginning to realise that more often than not, it’s the smaller moments, the ones we barely notice, that matter the most.

Writing has always been cathartic for me. I write to make sense of my world, my experiences, my thoughts. I also write to declutter my mind cause Lord knows there’s a LOT going on up in there!
Anyway, I decided a couple of months ago to try and crystallise my random musings into more thoughtful reflections on life, faith, growth, and the discipline of becoming.

28 years since my Mummy has been gone.
28 years too long.
And yet even after all this time, she is still very much alive to me. I feel her presence everywhere I am.
I talk to her constantly.
Hers is still the voice I hear in my head, always loving on me, offering counsel, guidance and encouragement as I navigate this journey of life.
Her physical absence is painful beyond what words can express, but I thank God that I had a mother who poured out so much love on her children that 28 years later, we are still drawing from the reservoir that she left behind. That’s a whole lot of love y’all!!
Love you my Mummy.
