Dynamic af. From a student fashion entrepreneur to natural hair blogger + content creator, to an advertising accounts executive + copywriter + production manager to banker then full time event MC (though I was hosting events and doing theatre acting through it all), to now TV and Radio broadcaster/ producer. 5 years and a month of seriously working around the clock, meeting some really cool people, while putting this mind of fireworks to what it was made for. I woke up somewhat numb from all the mixed feelings of joy, disbelief and everything in between. It was so surreal that the day to be awarded my masters degree was here. How is it that I fought so hard and so much to see this day happen and now, I’m here, not sure how to feel? “Chrystal, you do so much and still had time to do school?!” This is what my snap dm looked like on Saturday as i posted live. The only answer I have is, God really showed me that He is God and that He alone will orchestrate the fulfilment of His promises. He speaks and I only have to listen and act on His instructions. The rest, He’s got it! I didn’t know the journey would be as long, but I knew there would be a great testimony, all to God’s glory! I have sought strength from YHWH, wailed, had to learn the beauty of solitude, battled with insomnia and then weight gain, yet still sang, danced with everything in me, and showed up for myself, my clients and all I have committed to. What a challenge! What an experience!! This chapter really taught me that failure is when you give up and quit, NOT when you falter but try again [harder and smarter. Trying again takes wisdom]. Perfection is self-inducing pressure that need not be, for it is not human nature. God is the one who perfects as He is perfect! The woman you see in this picture today is unquenchable fire with raging flames of determination to live her dream and see impact no matter what.
