my mom was trafficked when she was 13 and it led to a huge series of events, a broken family, and more. Things like this affect many native families. My mother is the strongest woman I know and suffered so much but we’ve never been able to rely on the government, the police or the justice system to make it right. The best we can do for now is educate, share and attempt to break the stigma against us so that MMIP are not as easy to abuse & target. #mmiw #mmip #native #redhandprint #indigenous

Hi friends 🤍 I wanted to share something that’s been quietly coming together and now finally feels real. I’m working with some amazing people to launch INDIGIDAZE— an Indigenous-led magazine created to center Native voices, stories, art, and lived experiences that so often get overlooked. This project was born from growing up Native, feeling invisible in media, and wanting to build something that feels like home for our community — especially for kids and creatives who don’t see themselves represented anywhere And for indigenous kids from the system that want to feel connected to their people & loved. Right now: • Articles have been submitted • The photoshoots are in progress • The first issue is actively coming together I’ve opened Ko-fi preorders to help fund printing, contributors, and production. Every preorder or share directly supports Indigenous creators and helps make this magazine possible. If you feel called to support — or if you just want to help by sharing — it truly means more than I can put into words. 🖤 Preorder with the link in my bio! Thank you all! #native #indigenous #cree #landback #nativemedia
