Just finished making a denim jacket for my brother’s birthday. If you remember, last year I made him that blue faux leather jacket. Did I actually top myself this year, or was last year’s gift just unbeatable? You have to see his reaction!!!
24 hours before the premiere and I’m working on this pink fever dream, only to not even wear it in the end. Plan A was burgundy, Plan B was this jacket, and Plan C ended up being something completely different. Sometimes you just don’t feel the look, no matter how much work you put in. My first real leather jacket. Had this Italian hide sitting in my studio for months, just terrified to touch it. Sketched the pattern by eye in Paris and honestly? The first sample was a total disaster. But seeing the final turn-out... I can’t complain. It’s clean, has that perfect essential silhouette, and obviously the signature blue pockets. Before someone starts calling me a liar: I actually got the fabric at a fabric auction, which is why it was so cheap. Obviously you have to factor in the hours and the skill it took to sew this jacket, but just looking at the money I spent: 3€ is insane. So please don’t attack me 🙏🏿😅
