Let’s talk about midday engagement sessions for a second, because I know that 12pm sun gets a bad reputation real quick. But here’s the truth… mid day light is not the enemy.
I get it, golden hour is dreamy and soft and everyone loves it. But if your schedule doesn’t allow for sunset (hi real life, work schedules, travel, etc.), that does not mean your engagement photos have to suffer.
When I shoot in midday sun, I’m not just placing you anywhere and hoping for the best. I’m intentionally looking for open shade, clean backgrounds, and light that wraps around you in a flattering way. I’m guiding you the entire time so you don’t feel awkward or squinty, and we still get that soft, film-like, true-to-tone feel.
So if the only time you and your partner are available is earlier in the day… don’t let that stop you from booking your engagement session.
Your photos are going to be beautiful regardless of the hour, pinky promise 💕
