You don’t have to understand to move forward in faith. (Other people don’t have to understand either.) Give up the need to understand and rest in His providence and his presence. He’s got you. Just keep going. ❤️

When you tell God that you want to do what He wants you to do, get ready. Because there’s a 99% chance that the thing He’s going to ask you to do will be something you absolutely do NOT want to do. You’ll say, “No, not that…” Or “Well I need a lot of signs if you want me to do that.” LISTENTOME. If you tell God that you want to do what He wants you to do and then He tells you, you don’t need anymore signs. He answered you. You just didn’t like the answer. (Been there. 🙋🏼‍♀️) Stop wavering, waffling and waiting. You said you wanted to do what he wants. So do it. It will be hard or even excruciating. But do it anyway. His plans are good and He is good. Trust that and do the thing He’s telling you to do. 💪🏻❤️ (Most comfortable 👗 ever: @carlyjeanlosangeles )

God is telling you to let go of things from this last season but you’re not sure what to let go of. Here’s one thing you need to let go of: your way of thinking. No amount of money can fix a poor mindset. No amount of compliments can fix an insecure mindset. No amount of favor can fix a complaining mindset. This last season has knocked you down and kicked you while you’re down but you’re not going to let that experience dictate your way of thinking. Your going to let God’s word and the truth of who he is determine your way of thinking. If you want to take hold of the new, you’ve got to let go of your way of thinking from the past. Insecurity, doubt, pity parties, complaining, control and self-sufficiency have GOT TO GO. 👋🏻 God does not promote, coddle or advance this type of thinking. I don’t know what else you need to let go of as you enter into a new season, but you need to let go of this. 💪🏻 P.S. I do too. 🙋🏼‍♀️

When Jesus said you must be born again, Nicodemus didn’t understand. When Jesus said his body was the bread and his blood the wine, the disciples didn’t understand. When Jesus said he would die and be raised on the 3rd day, no one understood. So if you’re feeling puzzled right now about what’s going on and you don’t understand, guess what? That’s normal. Sit tight and hang on to God and when it’s time, you’ll get it. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5-6

In less than 5 weeks, on a super scrappy budget and with the best team ever, we got mom’s new house ready for her new life. Everything is intentional from the rolling laundry basket so she doesn’t have to pick it up, to the phone chargers placed throughout the house and photos everywhere to remind her that, “Yes this is really YOUR house.” We put money into a few things that really matter like a couple of cabinets to fill in the laundry room, new door fronts to update the look, two new countertops, and tile in the master bathroom. Then we tried to save on everything else. Almost every single thing was Facebook Marketplace, @amazon , @tjmaxx or @kirklands (warehouse sale going on!) For example, her bed was $385 on Amazon and it has the quality of a $2,000 bed. I love it so much. I love a good challenge and this was for sure one- with the best purpose ever: to get mom closer and in a more beautiful house than she could dream of. I’m thrilled. She’s thrilled. Welcome to Alabama, Mom! P.S. I have a cool story about the day she moved in posted in my stories. If you’re a podcast fan, I think you’ll appreciate it. 🩷🙏🏻

This blew my mind. So we know that God is a God of the generations. I am living in the blessing of countless prayers from the generations before me. I am standing on the shoulders of giants in the faith and seeing fruit from seeds I didn’t plant. I’ve known that and am so grateful for it. But what I haven’t realized until recently is that God is a God of the generations, in both directions. The blessing can also flow upward. God is doing in my mom’s life right now almost exactly what He did in mine at this exact time last year. (The whole “leave everything and start over with a whole new life / rescue / slow down” thing.) I know it’s an overflow of what He did with me. Not just because of the obvious parallel, I just know in my spirit. Then I felt him show me that he is a God of the generations- in both directions. And we see examples of this in the Bible. Naomi & Ruth, Jacob and Joseph… I felt God urge me to share this with you because some of you need this. I feel it strongly in my spirit that some of you NEED this word for a situation and a specific relationship. Here is what I feel impressed upon me for you: There is HOPE. You are not helpless. You are a warrior in the spirit for anyone and everyone. Some of you have given up on someone and I feel the Lord saying, think of their name. Do not give up on them. If you want a healing, or restoration, or rescue, or breakthrough for a parent or grandparent or other family member, regardless of whatever your situation may be, do not give up. Do not write them off. Do not lose hope. Do not stop praying and believing and fasting and obeying. You have no idea what God might do for them because of your faith. Our God is a God of the generations, in both directions. 🩷
