Time travels so fast and here we are. This is work from a year or so ago, but it still feels new to me. Working with @christophertestani over the last 20 years has always been a joy. We figured out we met, back in LA, on a Firooz Zahedi shoot when I was creative director shooting celebrities for brands like Redbook, Shape. I believe we met on the Jewel shoot. Together we’ve shot for brands like @CookingLight @cookunity and @weightwatchers Just to name a few. These pics were for Robb Finn @the_fixins over at @saintflorianhudson who’s always had a tremendous respect for the creative food process and just let us do our thing. Saint Florian has Prime Rib on Monday complete with mashed potato, creamed spinach and the best horseradish cream, ever. One of my favorite dishes. Worth checking out! #peace

In the midst of a lot of travel this year, I finally got to collaborate on a personal project that my friend and food stylist @brettregot and I had been planning for months.Inspired by his recent travels through Spain and Portugal, I wanted to do a series of ingredient driven still life images, with a more dramatic, experimental approach. The result was a sort of modernist, Spain by night kind of vibe. Always fun to see what happens in the studio with just a couple ideas and no boundaries. So grateful to see this image being used for @lauriewoolever new book, “Care and Feeding: A Memoir”. Bourdain’s life and work was a huge source of inspiration for me, and I couldn’t imagine a better use for this photo than for the stories of someone who worked side by side with him for years.Prop and food styling by none other than @carlaghart#anthonybourdain
