We're finally at the tail end of our preparations to open Exquisite Creatures in Seattle - now we need to get the word out! We're having a press preview next Thursday, Oct. 9 from 4-9pm. If you've got 5k or more followers and would like to attend the preview, DM me and I'll get you on the list. You'll need to be willing to post your impressions, but I'm confident you'll have an impactful experience to share.

A brief bio for newbies: 25 years ago, I opened my first gallery in Hermosa Beach, CA. After 2 years, i moved back to Oregon and for about 15 years focused on building my network of collectors, scientists, indigenous peoples, and institutions to partner with to collect insects and to reclaim the vertebrates that pass in captivity. I sold my work through a network of about 400 galleries, stores, and showrooms worldwide, but the work became onerous and, for me, soulless. I wanted to do something more meaningful, inspiring, and lasting with my art. I pulled out of all of my retail relationships, honed my team down to 4 dedicated, amazing people, and stepped into the dark and unknown world of travelling museum exhibits. For the past 8 years, I have loved working with some of the most storied institutions in the US. However, my vision has been slightly different than can be accommodated by committee, and so, for the past 3 years, my objective has been to go it alone. It's a complex, frightening, and insanely expensive undertaking, but on October 10, we open our first iteration on the Seattle waterfront. Our first step on the way to creating a permanent institution, dedicated to the rare intersection of Art, Nature, and Science. A sacred space where inspiration is abundant, wonder is overpowering, and joy is effortless. I hope you'll join me. Tickets available at the link in bio.

Psittacines (48x96) Updates on opening: unfortimately, we were misinformed on our Occupancy Permit requirements, so our Seattle opening will be somewhat delayed. Fingers crossed that we will still make it in September. My promise for a singular, deeply inspiring experience is unchanged

I'm excited to partner with Alice Walton's #ArtBridgesFoindation - a truly philanthropic non-profit dedicated to making great art more accessible to smaller institutions and communities. This iteration of Exquisite Creatures will tour museums in perpetuity through Art Bridges, which helps with funding, logistics, and other aid. If you're with an institution that would like to host this smaller Exquisite Creatures exhibit, free to reach out to #ArtBridgesFoundation for assistance. A special thanks to Alice. She's a sincere and singularly generous patron of both Art and Nature who is dedicated to supporting and improving both.
