Yesterday I preached a message titled “I’ve Got Enough on My Plate.”
Some of what you’re carrying isn’t even yours…
spirits, weights, and burdens God never assigned to you.
You can’t worship carrying what didn’t come from Him.
You can’t praise while holding onto weights.
Jesus said cast it.
Release it.
Release the weight.
I keep telling y’all that God IS DOING SOMETHING SPECIAL IN HEMPSTEAD!
Today I preached, “I Already Have Enough on my Plate”
God met us! See you Wednesday
You don’t get rewarded for doing what God already told you to do.
That’s not extra. That’s expected.
We’ve made obedience feel optional..like God should celebrate us for finally showing up. No. The standard never changed.
The real prayer isn’t “God, look at what I did.”
It’s “God, I’m available. Strip me. Shape me. Break what needs to be broken so I can be who You’ve called me to be.”
Stop reaching for applause.
Stay yielded.
There are parts of pastoring people don’t always see.
They see the preaching and the moments at the altar, but they don’t always see the weight that comes with covering people in prayer. They don’t see the quiet times where you have to go back to God for strength before you can pour into anyone else.
Pastoring will stretch you. It will challenge your faith. It will require you to stand for others while making sure you’re still standing yourself.
I’m reminded that this isn’t about a platform—it’s about staying connected to God. Because if I lose that, I lose everything.
There are moments like this where I just have to pause and say, “Lord, I need You.” Not just to preach, but to lead well.
This is more than what I do. It’s a responsibility I take seriously.
Missed yesterday? Let me catch you up 🔥
✔️ The altar was full; over 20 souls gave their lives to Christ!
✔️ Lives were changed, delivered, and healed.
✔️ Many made the decision to partner with New G and join the family.
This week, don’t just hear about it… be in the room. Bring somebody with you!
Who you bringing? ⬇️
Palm Sunday at New G 🌿
There are moments you can’t manufacture… you just have to recognize when God is moving.
Yesterday, the altar filled. Hands lifted, hearts open, lives surrendering. That’s what it’s all about for me…seeing people respond to Jesus in real time.
This is why we do what we do. Not for moments; but for transformation.
We’re stepping into Holy Week with expectation.
God is not finished.
19 years of pastoral ministry… and one thing I know for sure: God has been faithful every single step of the way.
Through the highs and the hidden battles, the growth and the pruning, the full rooms and the quiet seasons; He never failed us.
Here are a few things these years have taught me:
• You don’t build people by pressure, you build them with patience.
• Growth isn’t always loud, sometimes it looks like consistency when no one is watching.
• Not everyone assigned to you is meant to stay, but everyone teaches you something.
• Obedience will cost you comfort, but it will always produce purpose.
• If God called you, He will sustain you…period.
I’ve learned that pastoring isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence. Being there. Standing firm. Loving people through every version of themselves.
To everyone who has walked with us over these 19 years; thank you. Your prayers, your support, your commitment… it all matters more than you know.
And to what’s ahead; we’re not slowing down. We’re just getting started.
Greater is still coming.
