If I’m not honest about my 80/20 lifestyle, you’ll never really see how harmony works. Because eating for energy 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 where you’re constantly stressed about food. Let’s be honest… high achievers rarely struggle with discipline. But food? That’s often the one area where many of you overcorrect. So when I indulge…𝑰 𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚. This afternoon tea at the Royal Tearoom ☕ with Chef @christophe_devoille was exactly that 😍 Pure indulgence. The first course arrived with two delicate tarts 🍰, four beautiful cakes and three sandwiches. Honestly, that alone with the free flow tea, coffee and their signature hot chocolate would have left me perfectly satisfied 🤩 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒅… There were two more courses. 😅 Thank goodness for takeaway boxes because food waste is not something I’m comfortable with. What I loved most though was the intention behind it. Only 10 afternoon tea sets are created each day, a conscious choice to avoid unnecessary waste. And the setting, overlooking the calm water features outside, made the whole experience feel like stepping briefly out of the rush of Dubai. 🌿 Chef Christophe Devoille has travelled the world sourcing rare ingredients for these pastries, and you can taste that level of care in every bite. So yes, today was indulgence. But indulgence done with quality, presence and enjoyment. That’s the real balance. Because the goal is never restriction.
