A fortune cookie told me my life would change in March. With things in motion for a big change it was really nice to slow down this past weekend. I sat with the sun and the promise of a new day. I can’t see what’s ahead, but I am taking the risk.

Those editorial vibes, we aim for photos like this. They are even more magical when you flip through to find them. I used to work in design. Tuesdays were generally when fresh magazines hit the bodegas. It was my job to buy them up, flip through, and find the trends. Weddings with an editorial flare, just feels like the perfect fit. I miss tearing out those pages. I would have stopped for this image of Mike and Kelsey. I probably would have tore it out. Who needs models when you can find it in real life.

It’s been a season… As per usual, the colder months allow us photogs to come up for air. We can start culling, editing, posting, shooting more creatively etc. I was happy to meet up with Hanna one year after her launch of @dauntlessbyjohanna and build sets to shoot her next drop on. We spent hours pulling props and finding the right light to stage her collection. Word is, she will have all things available the end of this month to shop for those holiday gifts. To read more about this young artist see my blog from our first shoot together and look for an update on year one and how far she’s come… very soon. XO Link in bio 👍🏻

Summer weddings of 2025 are coming to a close. There is nothing quite like the golden light during these longer days. Nothing quite like Kelsey and Mike and their sweet love story either. These high school sweethearts were a dream to photograph. Ready for fall and a new season of change!

The families that keep me going. Two decades in the business of photography. It’s couples like Nick and Meghan that make it so rewarding. I love them and their sweet little family. #BWFORLIFE

A blue and white moment that felt fresh, thoughtful, and exactly right for an East End evening. We layered print-on-print textures, classic hydrangeas, and rattan touches to strike that sweet spot between casual and elevated. The kind of setting that invites you to linger just a little longer. What goes into a C.Lilly Print! Here is a little peek into my process! 1. Scout and immerse myself into these near and far away places. Wait for the “decisive moment” to click. 2. Develop the image and curate the series. 3. Print on premium photographic paper. 4. Surround in an archival mat, with a thick beveled edge. 5. Sign and number the series. 6. Seal it inside a solid wood frame made right here where I can oversee the process. 7. Finish with custom washes and waxes to match your aesthetic. 8. Look for the tiny details, like a closed corner or a contrasting spline. 9. Hang it with security knowing there is an inner frame for extra support. 10. Sitting flush to the wall with a French cleat your piece will stand the test of time. These elements are important when you create a fine art print. They are what makes them special and each of them comes from the core of my heart. #gobigorgohomeclilly #clillypolaroids #clillysmalls
