I was just reflecting on my own commitment to change and activism. I have been feeling like I need to do more. As many of you know, I have been active to promote change in the black community but there are many things I stand for. Feminism/ Womanism being one of them. So when I just so happen to meet one of the biggest misogynist of the generation on my birthday trip, I had to speak up.And will always speak up. ✊🏽

P.S: I’ve been spending a lot of time with my hair and I realized I need to show up more in my natural hair. I want to truly recognize the versatility black women have and normalize people seeing 4 type hair in fashion/glam spaces. My hair is not something I should feel I have to hide in ANY space. Transparency note: This past year has been a life changing one. In November 2024 I lost my father to cancer and it flipped my world upside down. He was the one that I could call on for encouragement, guidance and support. When he passed, I felt like I was loosing a large part of me and my sense of direction so naturally I took a step back from spaces, people and social media to reset. That’s when I found out who I was underneath all of the expectations, perceptions and judgements of me. So I guess we can consider this a reintroduction of who I am, what I stand for and what I have to offer to this world.
