Travis Knight’s Wildwood is one of my most anticipated films of the yearand I can’t wait to see it. Here are some thoughts on how great it’s going to be. @LAIKAStudios #Wildwood #LAIKA_partner
I’m hosting a free advance screening of the new @lionsgate film “The Furious”! Spots are limited so RSVP via the link in my bio if you’d like to come 👊. I’ll be there! This is one of the best martial arts films I’ve seen in years! Can’t wait to share it with you!
SHELBY OAKS is now on @hulu ! To celebrate, here’s some never-before-seen BTS. I am so proud of not just our film, but our incredible cast and crew who made each and every day on set a joy. I’m thrilled our film can continue to reach new audiences.
My friend and brilliant Gaffer for Shelby Oaks, Ben, has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. No one deserves to go through this, but Ben and his wife, our 1st AD Michelle, certainly do not. They are both incredible, lovely people who need all the help they can get to make it through this trying time. If you could please consider helping them, it would mean a lot to me. Anything helps. Thank you!
I love the library! None of these are available on streaming. I requested them like four days ago from my local branch, and they came from different libraries all over the state. If you miss video rental stores like me, the library is where it’s at. Excited to check these out. Cocoon is the only one I’ve seen before. Physical media forever.
Contact contains possibly my favorite opening shot of all time.
Two of the most memorable theatrical experiences of my childhood were seeing Apollo 13 and Contact. Both PG-rated films about space exploration aimed at adults, and both tame enough to be for kids, too. Contact captured me immediately. I already had an interest in aliens thanks to The X-Files and a ton of grade school genre books, but this film’s scientific approach (thanks Carl Sagan), really put a grounded spin on it. For a few years, I truly considered going into astronomy.
As an adult, this film is astonishing. A technician behind the camera, Zemeckis works wonders. There is not one single pedestrian shot in the movie. Everything feels alive and moving. The VFX hold up still, the wormhole sequence being a highlight. Foster is impeccable. Silvestri is magical. A highlight of the 90s.

Super excited to announce that I’ll be at @horrorhound all weekend March 20-22. It’s a great horror convention, and they’ve got tons of awesome guests like Matthew Lillard and other horror icons like Shelby Oaks’s very own Derek Mears! Should be a blast! I’ll be signing and taking photos so come say hi! I’d love to meet you.
Wonderful getaway to Universal with the family. Super Nintendo World and Donkey Kong Country are amazing! Also snuck away to see Tom Cruise stare silently into the void at a late night showing of Eyes Wide Shut.
Got to meet legendary Goosebumps artist @timjacobus ! I don’t know if 3rd grade me would’ve started reading YA horror without his brilliant art gracing the covers. Of course I had to share his work that’s inked into my shoulder. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Had the pleasure of visiting an amazing new video rental store and museum in Akron called @killervideo1980 ! Not gonna spoil the fun here but this is legitimately one of the coolest spots I’ve been to. Check them out!
