The return of Biking as a band after a year away. An ambitious video centered around the destruction of an evil action figure. Shot and edited fully by myself. Various lighting techniques I'd never used before like light reflection, artificial fire + shadow casting went into this. The first music video on my new Cinema camera. “DANCEFLOOR” music video remote editing + CRT work for @foxhayness

My first remote editing job. Flashy, fast paced, uses real CRT footage run on my at home CRT TVs to add texture to the B roll and text flashes. Strobes and flickers are used as transitions as well. I think Fox and I have a similar mind for things like this. The video was shot in LA and I edited it from the comfort of my home in NC. So cool. Included at the end are some stills I pre-graded before I sent it off to be colored.

Slow motion, reverse Super 8. Shot last summer on Kodavision3 Super 8 film. Max memorized the song backwards at double speed to match his mouth up with the song properly in slow motion. Shot out the back of a car driven by Stubbs.

"ALL AMERICAN" music video for Joshua Raw. Lots of prep time and prop focus for this one. Shot in 2 days and edited over my time on tour. I drafted the ideas for this almost a year ago when Josh showed me the project for the first time and it felt like the day would never come when I'd get to shoot it.

Props include Caroline's 1990 Jeep Wrangler, airsoft guns painted to look realistic, fully authentic Vietnam helmets and munitions boxes, an American flag from my grandma's old store in New Jersey, and a Budweiser can sling I made which is modelled after old grenade slings.

It's been a while since I've shared my art and at times it feels difficult to have a connection to the photos I take, but I think I'm slowly getting some of that back. There is much experimentation + discovery to come.
