Congrats to the winners who took home prizes and thanks to the hosts. If you see a friend in the video share this with them or tag them below. The Oakland 5000 track race was the inaugural USATF certified event hosted by @renegade_running to raise funds for 3M Track Club, a coaching and mentorship program for girls and boys ages 7 to 18. Adidas provided shoes to race in as well as a recovery corner with massagers, rollers and yoga mats. Numerous hydration, nutrition and food vendor pop-ups provided or offered electrolytes, grilled burgers, and mango lemonade. Music and food lifted spirits all night to keep the track hot with full speed efforts.

High fives, injuries, free shoes, embarrassingly stupid questions, electrolytes, and tendinitis.
500 miles later I’d average it all out and say once in a lifetime does exist. It’s right now. The people, the warriors, the athletes, they are out here like a wrecking ball; unstoppable. And they’ve protected me from myself. Being calculated with every step has paid off in the long runs.
Whether I deserve the awards and recognitions or not, I will continue to say thanks and keep working.
Here’s to more finish lines, fewer blisters, and maybe convincing the LA 2028 committee I’m a contender. 🏃♂️✨ #DreamBigRunFar
