We lost one of the brightest lights on Thursday. Derrick has given myself, and so many others, a lifetime of memories in the short years that we had together. It’s impossible to put it to words, but some of my favorite things about him are that he could make an entire room erupt in laughter with a single sound or face or word. He loved his friends more than anything, maybe even to a fault. He is easily one of the most hell bent skateboarders I’ve ever known, even at times he probably shouldn’t have been walking. His generosity knew no bounds, and he would give his last dollar if it meant he could help someone he loved. I love you Drz, and am lucky to know you and call you a brother.
