This month, instead of trying in vain to turn myself into a beautiful specimen, @menshealthuk sent me out to look for some. In the current issue Iāve explored the possibility that birdwatching might be⦠cool now. Yes really. Prompted by the success of @owen_reiser and Quentin (@earlyworm_getsthebird ) Reiserās fabulous YouTube documentary āListersā (if you havenāt seen it yet, drop whatever youāre doing for the next two hours) and the rise of birdwatching groups for atypical twitchers such as @flocktogether.world , I went for a long walk in Richmond Park with Flock Together founder @ollie_ranger and two pairs of binoculars. We didnāt find the green woodpecker he wanted but did spot some nesting herons and a delightful tufted duck, and had an excellent chat at a slow pace. The article also features fascinating ānature beatboxerā @jasonsinghthing and documentary maker/Springwatch veteran @chrishoward001 ā flying off shelves now.
It's finally here - tomorrow I line up to run the London marathon after 15 years of trying.
I'm running for @dementia_uk , to support the unbelievably important work they do to help the families of those living with this cruel condition.
This is for Dawnie. Please sponsor if you can... Link in bio.

SHAKY RUNNING CONTENT IS BACK!!
I know you've been missing it, but I am BACK on the fundraising trail.
Suddenly the London Marathon is just five weeks away, I'm behind but moving again, so let's raise some more cash!
Running for Dementia UK, and for my mother in law Dawnie.
Link in bio blah blah.
Yay! @chrishoward001 sailing into the checkpoint above Newquay on day one of the Atlantic Coast Challenge. Very cool, very breezy - Chris that is! And the weather. So proud of him! Onwards to Padstow for the end of the first day.
We are on the way!
Heading to Cornwall, and into potential 50mph headwinds over the weekend... Happy days.
We have raised over £8k already, so let's keep pushing on and see if we can't make it £10k over the weekend...
LAST TRAINING RUN
The week is finally here, and today I did my last training run before the event on Friday.
Today I ramble on as usual, but also talk about someone putting me to shame by running the whole Cornish boundary this week... 60 miles a day.
I'll forgive the shade though, as she is also running for Alzheimer's Research UK.
More nonsense to come later this week...
Two weeks to go! @chrishoward001
Is about to undertake a massive challenge. The Atlantic Coast Challenge to be specific: Three marathons in three days on the South West coast path around the tip of Cornwall.
He's raising money for @dementia_uk - a charity that have helped us over the last few years since Mum's diagnosis. If you can afford to make a donation, please do. It will help lots of families living with this cruel disease. Whilst there's no known cure, the Admiral Nurses are a real tonic.

MARATHON UPDATE
It's been a sh*tty week but we keep on keeping on... and the donations keep on piling in.
THANK YOU so much to all those that have donated - and we are so so close to hitting £5k which blows my little mind.
Special treat (or punishment) for the person that tops it over. Details in video - watch to the end.
