A Year: Vanuatu, Finished a Castle, Back to Vanuatu, My mates absolutely average proposal inside a volcano, Finished my house, went to Papua New Guinea, Pulled a dugout canoe for days and got got horrendously sunburnt, came back and moved into my cottage, built some oak porches, Skilled up to FREC 4…. Great success.
Some interesting new challenges on the horizon for 2026. Some of which I would never have seen on my cards, best grab the horns by its bull.

Built my dream cottage in the Highlands ⛰️🤌
Took a little longer than I hoped, but balancing earning, trips away and life made it slightly more than ‘just a weekend project’.
Skilled up on a whole lot of traditional and new building techniques.
Tradition Scottish slate, stone masonry, lime pointing and plastering, plumbing, made a kitchen and furniture from reclaimed Pitch Pine and a pretty sweet front door with a Scottish flag panel 🏴
Big thanks to everyone who gave me a hand along the way, Leighn and especially @razza58 who helped me throughout the build, really couldn’t have done it without you.

Quality wreck dive on the SS Coolidge with the fam,
A couple of turtles exited the wreck as we approached which was pretty special, although finding a unicorn at -40metres was the highlight. Ive been looking for one of those for ages.
