This might be the first reel I put out on time. Some projects missing, some neglected. I also wanted to put together projects that, although very outdated and not professional, marked my path and led me to where I am today. The rest, the big stuff, is mostly reflective of my FX lead and supervising position at MPC. I am forever grateful to the amazing talent I got to work with every day, at any studio, because otherwise many of these shots would not exist. Thank you.
My name is Christopher Hönninger, I am 33 years of age and I am a Peruvian-German multimedia artist focusing on computer graphics and science. I began playing and exploring with computer hardware and software, learning graphic design and software development. Between fidgeting with computer parts and a family of artists and engineers, I found my home in the merger of technical setups and visual compositions

I try and have fun also when editing a reel. I hope you enjoy it. I am very fortunate and thankful for the opportunities that I have been granted over the years. Much of this work showcases that joint effort between incredible colleagues and friends.
I hope more of this work can be done in the future, for myself, for the inspiring talent I know and still don't know, and for an industry that once in a while has me in love.

the artforms we develop we do not own, they are circumstantial products of our environment and creativity. thus I find that being human means being adaptive. it was always like that, whether with a new-found tool, a brush, the first version of photoshop, ipad pros, or with AI models. disruption is always both really bad and really good.
