Monkeys (2002)/ Monkeys 2: Fight the Future (2003)
Back in the early 2000s, I was obsessed with two movies I found on the View Askew message boards - Monkeys and Monkeys 2: Fight the Future - directed by a kid in Chicago named John and starring his friends. Twenty years later, I was able to bring the double feature to Make Believe Seattle and give them their theatrical premiere in front of a rapturous audience. It rocked.
