I’ve discovered felt plectrums recently and am loving how they sound… still have the punch of a regular plastic pick but with a little less click in the top end. I think they sound great with my old Hofner. I love this bass, it’s such a joy to play.
For anyone who’s interested, I’m using @pyramid_strings_official flat wound strings with the red felt plectrum made by ‘Viking’. It’s one of the more firm felt picks out of the handful I bought. I’m running through the @origineffects Bass Rig Super Vintage pedal with minimal processing in logic.
As always, use headphones. Loads of low end from this bass and phone speakers don’t cut it!
