My dinner tonight in Kraków was Sooooo delish! What was served, you ask?? Pork goulash in a bread bowl, fresh pickles, stuffed beef roulades with a Polish style gnocchi in a dark wine sauce. And to drink… Pear lemonade! Some of my musical compatriots also had “flaki” or tripe soup (Do NOT knock it until you try it!!!), stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, great beer, and warming tea with cloves, cinnamon sticks and orange slices! We could barely move after we were finished!!
Had an INCREDIBLE (but much too short) evening in Kraków, Poland today!!
What a city!! And we barely saw anything except the main square which even in the cold, gloomy weather was absolutely breathtaking! This is a city I MUST return to someday! (And YOU 🫵should too!!😊)
Hooray!! We made it. 24 hours without any sleep, but my first lunch in Poland made it all worth it. (Yes, it may be rich and fatty and heavy and artery-clogging,… But it’s also SOOOO delicious!!)
And Hey!
“When in Warsaw,….”
Heading off to Poland with the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra! And just in time as the harsh and unforgiving weather of Savannah, GA descends upon my home… ⛄️
Finishing up a little tour here in Nashville with the Fabulous Equinox Orchestra, and I had the good fortune of seeing my old friend and guitar comrade, Pat Bergeson! He was performing at his regular brunch gig at the Acme Feed and Seed along with soul singer legend Charles “Wigg” Walker. They sounded amazing as I knew they would. It was such a pleasure to hear him play the guitar again like nobody else!
Ok…. It’s not possible to feel any smaller than when you step foot into Saint Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. The scale, grandeur and artistic craftsmanship on display there are breathtaking and beyond words. These photos offer only a pathetic idea of the impossibly immense size of this place. There is no way to understand and process it unless you come and experience it yourself.
Totally 🤯🤯🤯!!!
