Algaenate prints and fairisle from way back when - I’m not a fan of screen printing on top of knits due to most screen printing inks creating a crunchy layer.
Combining algae and dye together to penetrate the fibre like traditional fabric printing to not get the crispy knits works wonders.

Top - a 2x2 rib plated with lavendar mohair,
Middle - a 5x5 rib that alternates every 10 rows to create a checkerboard pattern,
Bottom - a 2x2 that switches into a 3x1 rib every 10-12 rows, this is plated with a yellow merino
