Our butter cookies are LIVE on our website 💫 These buttery, melt in your mouth cookies are the first zero sugar added cookie with no sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners. They don’t even have allulose. They’re gluten free and they have 5g of protein per serving as well, making them a great snack to turn to when you want some snackisfaction! Each tin is 12oz of cookies. They’re a cookie that’s meant to have with a glass of milk, tea, or a mug of coffee: crumbly and buttery, they’re perfect for dunking and snacking on. Those that are more creative can break them up for a pie crust or put a marshmallow on them for a healthy campfire S’more! On a personal note, I’m so excited about our cookies. When we first made Cookies & Cream Keto Bark, we encountered so many struggles learning how to make a cookie to put in the bark. We also struggled with making our cookie butter. Many industrial ovens later and hundreds of recipe trial and errors, we finally have a cookie we think is public ready! We hope to make many other types of cookies in the future, like chewy chocolate chip cookies or even sandwich cookies—it all depends how this cookie is received. We’re also already looking for some changes for the next batch: we plan to make a holder for the tin to help them break less in shipping and also make them have a slightly firmer texture so they’re less fragile. We don’t use erythritol. So yeah… We’ve been getting A LOT of inquiries recently about erythritol. Apparently a new scientific study was done that showed consumption of this popular keto sugar alcohol had an increased heart attack association... Here’s the thing: I don’t do fear based marketing. So I won’t tell you our feelings on this study. It’s not our place to tell you how to eat or what to do. We’re a brand, we’re here to make yummy things and make you as happy as we can. But what I will tell you is that we don’t use erythritol. We also don’t use maltitol or aspartame. Never have and never will. And as it turns out, ChocZero is the only keto company that uses zero sugar alcohols and no artificial sweeteners 🍫 The reason for us is pretty simple: they’re cheap ingredients in our experience. Also, selfishly? I hate the aftertaste of sugar alcohols. It was an easy choice for us to never use them because we wanted to make something better. In fact, something we’ve long since had an issue with is that health food companies will cite ingredients like erythritol as their reason for a high price, saying sugar alternatives are way more expensive and that’s the real cost of health food. But it’s simply not true. Many sugar alcohols are similar in cost to sugar itself. Anyway, just dropping this note to save our customer service team extra work this week: we use monk fruit, not monk fruit and erythritol.
