Ahhhhh New Zealand. It does a lot well (adventure! food! wine! wool!) but what it really excels at are luxury lodges, which fold all those good bits into one grand design. Set in spectacular locations- old sheep stations, mountain edges & riverbanks - each feels singular in its vision: unmistakably New Zealand rather than copy-and-paste resorts that could exist anywhere. Here are some of the best for @prior xx
@macakizihotel has been a word-of-mouth classic in Bodrum since the 70s. A discreet tumble of white stone cottages and bougainvillea that spill into the Aegean. Silk sarongs, chilled rose and tangles of tanned limbs. Thinking of this place as Sydney transitions to soup weather.
A bit of Southern Italy…in the Noosa Hinterland. My latest for @condenasttraveller , @casa.renoir is proof that Australia’s creative whirrings are often found under the crunch of gravel and between the gum trees. Well done @hayleybonham & team for creating what is set to be one of Australia’s most talked about stays. Xx

The best hotels in the world aren’t the shiniest, they’re the ones people whisper about & return to over and over to the same room, table and sun lounger. Always such a privilege to voice my faves for @condenasttraveller ‘s Gold List. @hukalodge the granddaddy of luxury lodges that wrote the blueprint. And @macakizihotel - chic in spades. xx
I ended 2025 in Australia’s Top End—Darwin, the Tiwi Islands, and Arnhem Land—and I haven’t shut up about it since. The creativity, the community, the sheer hustle of the place! There’s more happening than meets the eye, and that’s part of the appeal. A shout of gratitude to @prior for spotlighting this brain-tickling region, and to all the people who opened their doors to me. I’m already plotting my return. Xx
One of the most soul-stirring experiences. @songsaaprivateisland has opened a wellness island @saraan.sanctuaries.bysongsaa & it’s as you’d expect. So thoughtful, buried in untamed jungle & opened on the down-low (if you know anything about this Cambodian resort, it’s defined by this confidence). I was lucky to be the first-in for @condenasttraveller .
