I discovered this fabric on Trademe in the Upholstery Fabric section, and I immediately knew I had to turn it into a jacket. The thought that somewhere out there, someone might have a matching sofa or seat made from the same material brings me joy. It’s the kind of ironic synchronicity that makes life interesting, and I believe that one day, the wearer will stumble upon that sofa or seat in some thrift shop, connecting two unique journeys in a ‘lifes funny’ kind of way.

I screen-printed this on the singlet the day of the show, knowing that I hadn't done screen printing in a while, which increased the chances of something going wrong. However, I learned that making mistakes is actually a part of improving my skills. I've made countless mistakes before this, so I decided to just go for it.
