Margaret River Ultra 2026 🏆 and course record 6:16:40.
What a weekend it was.
At most events i am lucky enough to have a support crew, for this one i felt like i had an army following me around all day. With great mates popping up at random locations throughout the course to cheer me on, the @manningparktrailrunners blue crew almost everywhere you look and of course my family who sacrificed their weekend to come to every aid station and hand me gels and water.
The course itself (other than the stiff northerly head wind all day) was spectacular. Beach, rolling single track, rock hopping and tracks through the Boranup forest, couldn't ask for much more in my home state.
A huge thanks to my sponsors who helped with everything i could need for the run.
@tarkineathletics who keep making better and better shoes, the new Bandicoots are fast light and comfortable.
@bix_aus who kept me fuelled for the day and in the training before hand.
@northfremantlechiropractic@chirotorrie for keeping the body in great condition as always.
Full race report and nutrition break down to come later when I learn how to use instagram properly 😅
Now to recover and reload for the next one.
Not All Headaches Are the Same
Most people treat headaches like they’re all the same problem but they rarely are
Where you feel the pain can often give clues about what’s contributing to it
Sometimes it’s tension in the upper neck, sometimes it’s postural overload, and other times it can be related to how the joints and nerves in the neck and upper spine are functioning
That’s why in our clinic we don’t just chase the headache itself
We assess how your neck and spine are moving, how daily habits and posture are loading the area, and what might actually be driving the pattern
If headaches keep coming back and you’re not sure why, it might be time to get some clarity
DM us “HEADACHE” and we’ll send you the details for our new patient assessment
𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲? 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗜 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁
Pain right at that one spot in the low back especially when standing up, rolling in bed, or sitting too long is often linked to the sacroiliac (SI) joint
This joint connects your spine to your pelvis and plays a big role in how your body transfers load when you move. When it isn’t moving properly (or is moving too much), the surrounding tissues can become irritated and protective which is when that sharp, stubborn pain shows up
That’s why in our clinic we don’t just “treat the pain.” We start with a proper assessment to understand what’s actually driving it
From there, care may include gentle chiropractic adjustments, movement guidance, and strategies to reduce overload in the area
If this sounds familiar, we’re currently offering a New Patient Consultation for $97 where we assess what’s going on and whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you
DM us “SIJ” and we’ll send you the booking link and details to claim the offer.
We’re back with another epic local legend 🤝
Kayla and her business SMOKE & MIRRORS🕯️pure essential oil candles done right @smokeandmirrorscandles
This month we’re shining a light on the people in our community doing things differently.
Non-toxic. No nasties. Just candles that actually support your space, not work against it.
What leads to dysfunction isn’t just physical, it can be environmental too. Just like chiro care, it’s about choosing what supports your body and your space 🌿
Support local.
Support health.
Support people who care.

How to Test for a Slipped Disc (disc bulge) At Home
Try this simple test:
👣 Sit tall, straighten your knee, point your toes up, then slouch forward
😌 No pain = you're likely in the clear.
😣 Pain, tightness, or nerve pull = possible disc or nerve tension
This is where proper assessment matters
Chiropractic care can help identify and relieve the pressure before it gets worse
There’s no better day to share this one - International Women’s Day. 💪✨
This month we’re celebrating the legends in our community and today it’s all about Emma Cruz.
Emma is one of the kindest souls you’ll meet and someone who genuinely cares about helping people feel and move better. She runs Cruz Strength & Conditioning, offering remedial massage from her home clinic in Yangebup and PT sessions out of Movement Hub in O’Connor.
Whether you need a quality massage, want to get stronger, move better, or just train with someone who actually gives a damn, Emma’s your person.
Support great humans doing great work in our community.
Send her a DM to book a massage or start getting stronger. 🤝🔥 @cruzsandc

Your neck pain isn’t random... It’s a pattern
Scroll, scroll, scroll… ache
If that upper trap tension never truly disappears this is your sign
📌 You don’t need another massage
You need a clear path:
1️⃣ Proper assessment
2️⃣ Gentle adjustments
3️⃣ Targeted exercises
Start with clarity

Sciatica Isn’t Where You Think It Is
Sciatica is a pain in the butt... literally
But here’s the thing:
Where you feel the pain isn’t where it starts
That ache through your glutes or down your leg?
It’s usually a signal from an irritated nerve most often at the spine or hip
So if you’ve been stretching, rolling, or poking the pain without results…
that’s why
Here’s how we do it differently:
1️⃣ We assess the full nerve pathway spine, pelvis, and everything in between
2️⃣ We apply hands-on care and specific exercises to calm the irritation at the source
So stop chasing symptoms
Start addressing the cause

Different parts of the spine move in different ways
This is what chiropractic adjustments can look like across the neck, mid-back, and lower back
Already in February and along with looking forward to 2026, I thought I would take the time to look back on my 2025 running journey. Thanks for the reminder @brendanverrier_
What a crazy year 2025 has been and things that I never thought possible when i started my running adventure with Perth Marathon at the end of 2022 are now the normal. It seems to have taken over my life in a fairly big way (sorry Ches that you are constantly carb loading with me now 🍝 😅). With 6 West Aussie races and a trip to Wales there was a lot of racing, some minor injuries and some amazing results.
In August I got my first ever sponsorship with @northfremantlechiropractic and @chirotorrie . The team, I had been seeing regularly for 12 months and were able to assist with keeping the body strong and prevent any injuries getting worse. Not just my back but hips, achillies, knees and even my jaw (don't recommend that last one, about as painful as km 80 of a 100km race).
Soon after the legends @tarkineathletics noticed that I had been running in their shoes for the last 2 years and offered to help me on my journey with sponsorship too. Super comfortable and fun shoes to run it whilst also doing their bit by giving back to the planet.
I'm so excited to see what I am capable of in 2026, heading east to run against some of Australia's best.
Thanks @chesrevell for the ongoing support, that helps massively when I am feeling tired. And also for putting up with the huge amount of time that we have missed out on together.
Bring on 2026 💪.
