Interested in supporting our work at CHiPS through a donation? There are plenty of ways to do so!
➡️ Make a financial contribution
➡️ Donate goods off of our high-needs list (linked in bio)
➡️ Donate something off of any of our Amazon wishlists (linked in bio)
➡️ Make sandwiches and schedule a donation drop-off (linked in bio)
However you decide to contribute will help us continue the work we do day in and day out: providing food, housing, and support to those who need it.
Today is our first day of full client choice at our on-site pantry. That means no pre-packaged bags with items people may not want or use. Each pantry guest has agency over the groceries they receive. We started rolling out client choice at our mobile stops in 2024 and we’ve found with full client choice we’re better able to meet our guests’ needs, we reduce food waste, and we provide the best pantry experience possible. We’re proud to be fully #clientchoice.
We were just awarded $20,000 to feed our neighbors in Kensington with local food! Thank you to everyone who voted for us in this cycle of District 39's Participatory Budgeting, and a big big thank you to volunteer, Beth Ruck, who campaigned for the CHiPS project and got the word out about our work in Kensington. Wahoo!
Happy Mother’s Day! This mother’s day, we’re spotlighting an amazing mother-daughter volunteer duo! Christina and Melina have been regularly volunteering at CHiPS for the past six months.
“When I was growing up, my mom always emphasized the importance of giving back to the community through volunteer work... [volunteering] together now makes the work that much more meaningful,” Melina wrote.
Next time you sign up to volunteer, make it a family affair and bring a loved one! Happy Mother’s Day 💌♥️

At the heart of our Frances Residence program is our commitment to support our residents as they work to create bright futures for their children. As Mother’s Day approaches, consider donating gift cards to help us celebrate our residents as the amazing mothers that they are.

🍴🍗 This past Tuesday, we partnered with our friends at @chips4thave to host the first ever CHiPS dinner service! Brooklyn Winery team members took on the CHiPS kitchen to prep, cook, and package seared chicken thighs, steamed veggies, rice, and dessert. In total, we were able to serve over 260 meals to guests.
This initiative is led by our very own Chef de Cuisine, Michael Wells, and Senior Banquet Manager, Douglas Turner! We look forward to returning next quarter on June 30th.
