A small figure appeared in the doorway and, having glanced around, drifted toward the counter between the vinyl shelves. It was an elderly man in a trench coat. A hat with a perfectly pressed brim and a neatly shaved beard spoke of his meticulous nature. People like that don’t come in just to browse. Needle caught the mood of this unusual visitor.
“Hello. Can I help you find something you’d like?”
“Good afternoon. Yes, perhaps. Offer me to take care of my records.”
“Sorry? I’m not sure I understand.”
“I’ve been looking for a seller willing to buy my large techno collection outright. I assure you — you won’t regret it.”
“Of course. Let’s talk. You’ve come to the right place.”
“I know. That’s exactly why I came here. It is not just music but the embodiment of passion and youth that I am looking to put into safe hands.”
A pleasant conversation followed. A few minutes later, Plate joined in, stepping out from the back room. It was clear: there couldn’t be a better moment to expand the catalogue. After discussing the terms and confirming their agreement, Needle and Plate saw the customer out.
“So we’re finally going to open the second-hand section — just like we wanted!”
“We did wish for something special when we watched the sunrise on that beach in Romania.”
“Incredible. First, the government grant for business development, and now a mysterious elder man with a few hundred rare gems.”
A new chapter in the store’s story was unfolding most surprisingly. Now it would be hard to imagine The Hague without Chippy Chasers — a place that brings generations and tastes together.

They’d been waiting for this. The moment the first bass hit their chests, every piece fell into place. Mamaia Beach has long been a refuge for musical aesthetics and a portal to dreamscapes. All one needs is comfortable shoes and water. The rest unfolds in tandem with the rhythm. As darkness was settling, the minimal groove was pulling harder. Under the canopy, a well-known Romanian producer had become one with the crowd, moving it in unison with the loops.
“My palms are sweating,” Needle whispered.
“That’s the magic of Sunwaves. And the way he plays with tempo!”
“Let’s get closer to the booth.”
The dancing wave engulfed everyone and their endless conversations. The night had flown by. The sun began to rise over the sea, painting the sky pink. Needle and Plate sat on the sand, still feeling a pleasant vibration in their bodies.
“You know what’s best?” Plate said, staring at the horizon. “Time runs differently here.”
“Yeah. You can play the same moment on repeat and never get tired of it.”
They smiled, knowing that in a year they’d be back — ready to surrender again to the sound that becomes breath, and the music that becomes infinity.
