Our festival stewards make it all run smoothly covering venue management, assisting attendees & troubleshooting. Volunteering at Chippenham Folk Festival 2026 will give you a great opportunity to make friends, learn new skills & add new experiences to your CV, as well as getting your festival ticket on us (in exchange for just a few hours of volunteering per day).
You'll be part of a fun & close knit team run by an experienced leader who will be on hand to give you all the support you need whether it's your 1st time stewarding, or 50th!

Get your Bridgerton on at the Harriet Willes Ball at Chippenham Folk Festival.
Harriet was the sister of the vicar in nearby Christian Malford in the 1790s, and collected tunes & dances that were unearthed by the recent Music.Heritage.Place project. She also probably knew Jane Austen & went on to marry an admiral.

In the latest edition of Talking Folk we are celebrating The Halsway Stage, located in Chippenham's beautiful 15th Century St Andrew's Church, although the church site has origins dating back to the 12th Century.
